Is Orijen really that good?

II’m thinking about giving my cat Orijen. Seems good because of the content. Real meat/real fish is used.
My cat has def close to diarrhoea. Not all the time, but most of the time. I don’t want to use Finidiar because that is not natural. Some tell Orijen helps against diarrhoea. Has anybody experiences with this Orijen?

Re: Is Orijen really that good?

health scare was only in Australia, due to the product being irradiated at customs

I give it to my Russian, and it is the first dry food he eats regularly (and he is now 8) and no change at all to his excretory habits

Re: Is Orijen really that good?

I agree with Trigger & Louskoonz, I feed all 4 of my cats on Orijen biscuits and Applaws wet I had 1 cat with terrible tummy problems until I put him onto Orijen within a week he was better.

The health scare was isolated to Australia - as has already been mentioned, so no need to worry about that here.

Re: Is Orijen really that good?

I feed my BSH Orijen for his dried food as i loved the sound of what it had it compared to most. It has never gave him diarrhea, but i guess if it did give change your cats toilets habits, i guess it might just be for a day or two, as a change in diet usually do these things, especially going over to something super healthy. They really make your bowels move!

Re: Is Orijen really that good?

I find integra wet food great for my cat who has a very sensitive stomach.

Integra Sensitive 6x 200g: Great Deals on Integra Special Diet Cat Food at zooplus

He doesn't have any biscuits. I also give him cooked chicken and fish and his bowel movements are much better than when he was on other cat foods (even the 'posh' ones). No more sloppy poos.

Re: Is Orijen really that good?

Today when I got home eak the smell. Moeke her do was smelling really strong. She didn’t burry it. So the first thing I did was burry it, before I gave her her food. This morning I gave her some Orijen. So I thought that was what caused the smell. The strangest thing happened. Just before I wanted to post a reply because of this smell, I took al look at the do. It didn’t smell that much anymore and it looked not bad at all. Really good cat litter I should say. It took away most of the smell. It’s called Biokat’s (classic) by Gimpet. It’s German. And she didn't have diarrhoea!!! So I'll just keep on giving it and see what will happen.
