My cat's eye is watering a lot

Hello everyone,

I just wondered if anyone has had any experience of this. My cat's Elvis' eye has been watering rather a lot for a while now, and I'm not sure but I think it's been getting worse. The poor love has been going to the vet rather a lot recently, and actually had a couple of X-rays done 2 days ago, as well as a biopsy in the mouth (they think it's unlikely anything serious going on there tho). He also had his other eye removed recently due to an ulcer (he had already been blind in that eye for a while due to a car accident a few years ago though).

Anyway with all the other stuff going on I don't think the vet looked at the eye very closely. I will take him back eventually but just wondered if anyone had had any experience of this? It seems like it's watering a lot. The vets already know from before that there's nothing going on right behind the eye itself. I don't know whether I should be getting him back to the vet asap or whether I can safely wait a week or so. For various reasons taking him next week is very tricky.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks very much. Nicki.

Re: My cat's eye is watering a lot

Does it happen more often when he is eating - I have a cat who has regular bouts of gingervitis and when his mouth is sore he tends to get very watery eyes. just an idea as his mouth might be sore from previous vets visit.
