New Tesco Range

Tesco have started a natures best (iirc) which is either a pate tray (lamb 60%+) and some dry stuff. Mine wolfed it down in minutes. What with this and Sainsburys doing Encore, the supermarkets seem to be knocking out some high meat content food these days.

Re: New Tesco Range

sounds interesting! thank you for the info, will check that out when Im in Tesco next!

Midnight, Encore is Applaws repackaged for Sainsburys, the info, and everything on the label is identical and the Encore labels have MPM on them .... only little dim point is that since Encore was 30% off in Sainsburys til last week, (37p a tin) the buggers have now gone and increased it from its original 57p to 60+ pence a tin so its about the same as you pay for Applaws anyway! typical marketing ploy by Sainsburys there lol!!!

Re: New Tesco Range

no worries hun! the Encore 8 box is about £4 something but I think they have the Applaws 12 pack at £1 off (£6+ rather than £7+ I think?) at Pets At Home, will hav ea look and let you know, but yeah you certainly have to pay for it! at least can save my Nectar points to use for it in Sainsburys, although bought loads when 1/3 off .... if the little monkeys dont like it when I get them home I will not be amused and will look a right plonker for having a cupboard full!!

Re: New Tesco Range

Will check this out on Monday when I do my usual shop though I try to avoid buying the cats' food from Tesco - I like to use my local pet shop.

Yeah I stocked up on Encore when it was 37p. It is small tins, 70g compared to 80g of tesco finest and 100g of this tesco natures stuff for about the same price. While Applaws and Encore are the same manufacturers mine won't eat Applaws adult chicken, kitten chicken, yet will finish off chicken applaws. The Tesco luxury is a great range, over 50% meat and works out 12 pouches for £3.91
