Wet Kitten Food help

I am finding it hard to find a wet kitten food one of mine will eat and I don't want to ply him full of dry to ensure he gets all his kitten nutrients.

I have worked out what he likes though. It needs to look like shredded chicken (he's not so keen on jelly or pate). He would eat Encore chicken and Tesco Finest Chicken all day long, but the following he is not interested in

Applaws Kitten
Natures Menu (he will eat a bit)
Purely Kitten
Hills Kitten (he will eat a bit)

I am after a complete kitten food. Or am I worrying too much and just give him the Tesco (he's a decent size and almost cat size).

I have tried mixing stuff up, he realises what I've done and will only eat a little.

6 months 3 weeks, and he's a good size and weight. I have 2, the other is 6 months and will eat most of what is put in front of him albeit smaller.

Re: Wet Kitten Food help

I think the Tesco's finest might actually be complete? What does it say on the tin? Best to check.

You could try to mix some of his favorites in with whichever good quality complete you want him to eat?

Re: Wet Kitten Food help

When my kitten was 6 months i switched him to normal applaws as it's all he would eat with some kitten biscuits and he's done fine on it.

Re: Wet Kitten Food help

Tesco is complete but not kitten specific....think it may say complete for an adult cat. So hard trying to find a balance between what he will eat and getting some 'kitten' stuff into him.

They have some biscuits, not loads, Orijen and Hills kitten (chicken again!!!). But then again, Orijen is complete but not specifically kitten complete. It's a minefield.

Re: Wet Kitten Food help

in the olden days (about 10 - 20 years ago) there was no such thing as kitten food we got on with what was available. And cats in the wild can't find mice that are branded kitten food only. He's getting good quality stuff and a variety - i reckon he'll be absolutely fine.
