Is Applaws kitten & Porta 21 kitten complete?

I'm down to my last 2 pouches of Hi-Life and there is so much snow out there I don't think I'm gonna get to the shops until at least tomorrow, maybe the weekend!

I have loads of Applaws tins and a few Porta 21s though as well as the Orijen - will he be ok eating that for a day or so?

I've just had a look on the Zooplus website and it says the Applaws kitten should be supplimented with other food so that gives the impression that no, its not complete but the Porta 21 is....so you're safe for a few days!!

MPM confirmed that the Kitten food was complete last year (or may even have been 2007) - the formula was changed.

Thanks Naomi, I thought it was, I used it with my kittens and was sure it said so on the tins then, but didn't have any here to check now.

Re: Is Applaws kitten & Porta 21 kitten complete?

Thanks!!

I've goven him a mixture today - he's had 1.5 pouches Hi-LIfe, a tin of Applaws and some plain chicken, plus he has eaten the Orijen I put out so I think he'll be fine. I'll probably give him some Porta 21 tomorrow plus Applaws and Orijen and the rest of the chicken!

Must stock up on Hi-Life as soon as I can get to the shops!

Re: Is Applaws kitten & Porta 21 kitten complete?

Hi,

Just a thought here, doesn't the shop that you buy your food from do an delivery service. I used to use Asda's and it was great, I don't drive so getting cat food and stocked up for the month was a real pain. Im sure they will be able to get a delivery out to you if you are worried about going out in the snow.

Is it really bad where you are?

Izzie

Re: Is Applaws kitten & Porta 21 kitten complete?

It was really bad yesterday - I didn't want to risk driving anywhere. Both my children's schools were shut and I couldn't get to work because the roads were chaos (and I had no childcare!)

It's not so bad today. My daughter is at school later and I took her to the childminder's this morning. Luckily it's my study day today and my son is out clearing people's drives for pocket money with his mates because his school is still shut (think he's gonna be an entrepreneur when he grows up!)

I can't really be bothered to go shopping today though so think I'll nip to Pets at Home tomorrow when I take my daughter to ballet and buy a couple of boxes of Hi-Life!
