My cat drinking more water than normal

Hi,

I've recently noticed my 7 y old cat seems to be drinking a lot more water than he used to. I've heard in the past this can be symptomatic of kidney problems. I was wondering if anyone know anything about this? He seems pretty healthy otherwise but perhaps slightly lower in energy than he used to be. I am going to take him to the vet but live in London and with the current weather conditions wont be able to get him there for 2 days at least. Is there a hurry to get him to vet does anyone know? Many thanks...

Re: My cat drinking more water than normal

Hiya,

Is he weeing alot more too? or being sick at all. Unless he seems poorly I don't think you have to rush him in but I definitely think its worth checking out.

Hope the cat is ok.

Izzie

Re: My cat drinking more water than normal

I'd get to see vet as soon as the weather improves. As you say drinking more can indicate kidney problems so best get him checked. It may be nothing but best be on the safe side
