Re: kitten don't take bottle?

Hi Dave

Have you got a suringe, if she wont take a bottle? but you will have to press the plunger very slow and let her drink the milk. You will also need a hot water bottle for her to keep her temp up so she wont get cold as kittens cant regulate there body temps. I take it you have some kitten replacer milk. She will need feeding every 2 hours though out the night too and you will have to stimulate her to wee and poo by using a warm damp pice of cotton wool.

Can i ask how did you get her so young.

Re: kitten don't take bottle?

When I did work experience we had to syringe feed some kittens. You have to push the plunger of the syringe, but very slowly so the kitten does not choke. We also rubbed their bottoms gently with a piece of moist cotton wool to as a moth would so they would go to the toilet.
Keep the kitten warm as being so small they can get cold easily. I think you also need to feed the kitten often too, not sure how much though, so I am sure another member will answer that.

Thats does not sound good at all.. She was handing out 1 week old kittens, they should be with mother. Did she say why she was giving them out. I am alarmed at htis, unless she found them herself. She should have given them to a rescue or something, with their mum if she had the mum is she could not look after them.

Oh ok, still too young but better than 1 week. She does not sound responsible at all. Why drown innocent kittens.
