Kitten & Adult food question...

So.....All of the tats are on RC persian kitten & JWB adult (with raw meat inbetween).

We get our new addition this month and he will only be 13 weeks so i guess he needs to stay on the RC kitten food? Can he have the JWB adult food with it or will it make him poorly?

Also, what is a good age to phase out the kitten food altogether? Aud, Barney & Baxter are 7 & 8 months old........when its time to get rid of the kitten food, do you think it would be ok to change the new kitten at the same time onto full time adult food?

I'm going to struggle to feed them separately as we live in a bungalow, and space is tight.

Phew! Hope all that makes sense! lol!

Re: Kitten & Adult food question...

I don't know about the persian, mine are Siamese, but they stay on the kitten 36 as a dry til 12 months old?
I wouldn't put a kitten on adult food, they have so much growing and developing to do. If you did put everyone on adult, maybe think about supplementing the kittens?

Re: Kitten & Adult food question...

As with leah we have Siamese Rachel and i personally don't think it makes a difference apart from that kitten biccies are smaller and are great for introducing kitts to biscuits but once our lot have they tend to jump into the adults and are fine,as for the nutrients etc only my opinion but apart from as said above i don't think the stage biccies make any difference

Thanks hun - i think i'll just keep mixing the kitten and adult until the current lot are 12 months, and then take it from there!

Kitten food isn't necessary at all - cats managed perfectly well in the days before kitten foods (i can remember!) so I really wouldn't worry about your new kitten eating adult food or vice versa
