Help! cat poo taking over!!

Can anyone give advice? We have had our cat for 3 years and she is now aged 12 (approx). She usually spends most of her time in doors has begun pooing in various spots around the kitchen and lounge (particularly the leather sofas!). She normally does this if we are out but it has become more blatant and she has started doing it while we are in the kitchen or lounge. At times it has been a little bloody and runny and just when I think to take her to the vet, the poo is normal again! Any help would be appreciated

A vet check would be best,as for the pooing all over the place..it's either coz she's unhappy with something and thats her way of telling you or theirs something else going on,or she may have just gotten a little lazy/forgetful in her old age

I agree get you cat checked out at the vet to see if there is a medical reason for him doing this if not come back here though and I give you some advise on what could be coursing it and how to help solve the problem

Re: Help! cat poo taking over!!

Hi
if shes only just started doing it she may be becoming incontinent with her old age and with the bites of blood it could either be from her staining to poo or she could have some sort of growth in her bottom, best to get her checked out, it would be good just to go for a check up anyway because of her older age, as they get older they should have more check up. best of luck. Amy
