Re: fleas

Agree,it won't do any harm and for future reference even if you don't actually manage to see any fleas, behind her ears, neck area and groin area look for like little black dandruff(flea poo),but with regular and thorough checks if she has fleas sooner or later you will catch one of em

Re: fleas

To be honest he doesnt seem to have been scratching that much, I a not sure now I think I was just ultra watchful since he had just come back from a weekend in the cattery. I have washed his bedding anyway and he hasn't been upstairs. Is it obvious if they do have fleas? ie excessive scratching or could they have fleas and you not notice? its my biggest nightmare

Re: fleas

It usually is hun, you'd start scratching too but it could just be he's having a scratch and your taking precautions so don't fret, treat him and have a good look around his body,if he has fleas you will find some evidenceKnow it's not a good thought that he may have picked them up, but he may not have them it could just be change of scene and that he's home

Re: fleas

try to find a picture of fleas on the internet then you will know what your dealing with.
if you cant see anything in his fur then it might actually be something else like mites. i use advocate on my cats because it gets rid of all types of parasites including, fleas, worms, mite, ring worm, lung worm etc instead of just the fleas that frontline do. id would recomend the advocate instead, you can get it from yur local vets and they sometimes do deals too. Best of luck, Amy
