On way home with her. The sheer volume of mucus they removed from her mouth was staggering. So much had dried and clumped. It was unbelievable! Got loads from the back of her throat. So her breathing should be a lot better tonight I hope! Don't know whether to give her final feed tonight?

Well I just had the very pleasant job of cleaning the gunk out of her mouth with cotton buds and cotton wool. Poor girl she didn't enjoy it!

She's still so congested. She has slept all day, not moved about much at sll to be honest! She is trying to breathe through her nose but it keeps blocking up. My heart starts pounding til she starts up mouth breathing. She's just done it again. Stopped and started. Proper freaky!!

Aww no, I would ring the vets if they have an out of hours line and let them know x

i bet she's so glad to have such a caring and vigilant slave by her side - you're doing a fab job. it's good she's resting.

My extended family
2 Birmans, 2 Ragdolls, 1 Cockatiel and lots of Tropical fish

She seems better today. A lot less mucus which I'm so happy about as her breathing was a worry. She still isn't making it to the litter tray, she just sleeps constantly lol then wees on the towel. I think she enjoys making me change her lol.

She hasn't pood since saturday but shes just on liquid food through the tube. The hospital gave me an enema for if she tries to go but struggles. Really dont wanna stress her more with an enema!

I'm glad she is getting better.

Have you thought of using puppy training pads (or even the pads that go on beds for toddlers when potty training) for her bed? It may help with absorbency?

I hope she continues to recover and her breathing gets easier. Poor thing
