She wont let me touch her head!! Help

Can anyone give me advice? My cat looks a bit sorry for herself today, went to give her a fuss to cheer her up but she got quiet cross when I tried to stroke her head, which is unusual. I tried to have a look in her ears to check them but she was very adamant she wasnt goin to let me and pulled her ears back and close to her head. Can anyone suggest anything to try or do for her. Do you think it could be ear mites?

Is she scratching at her ears? or could it be another part of her face? maybe you should ring your vet just to be on the safe sidexx

Re: She wont let me touch her head!! Help

thanks for the advice. Called vet last night seems to think that it is probably mites got her booked in for monday morning. There is no swelling that I can see and she is scratching more today at her ears. So hopefully we can sort her out tomorrow. Poor little thing feel so sorry for her.

Re: She wont let me touch her head!! Help

Hi
it could be a inner ear infection or a movement of fluid in her ears because cat do tend to shack their head to try to readjust the fluid. if she has a ear infection then this would be painful for her and that might be the reason for her not letting you touch her head, i would take her to the vets. i hope this helps, best of luck, Amy
