Its got to be ring worm, it wouldn't have taken the spot on that long to cause a problem.
I'm surprised the vets didn't notice it :/ but his furs quite thick.
p.s sorry I keep getting ring and round worm mixed up, yano what I mean.

Ok I am sorry but I have to do this as you seem to have overlooked all the other people saying this:
Ringworm doesn't look like that.
Roundworm is internal and not external.
I really don't think it is either of those, think you need to get a vet's advise.
