Yes it would, but my fear would be that the limits would be placed unreasonably low as they are with dogs (IMO of course)

If registering bodies have a say then they would be more likely to understand the needs of the breeds rather than have some outside body with zero understanding like DEFRA or worse your local council.

I don't agree with anyone placing restrictions on the number of animals being kept though one person keeping 15 cats or dogs could do so far better than another keeping 2.

The suggestion of limits wasn't mine, it was Naomi's I was just responding to that discussion.

Hey ang, phil is a bit better. Im having a great time trying to sort out his eye hacking out though. cats protection cant help and i just spoke to a woman who was the person who was possible going to help me with Jakes foot when he hurt it. She said "why did you take on rescue kittens when you couldnt afford to pay for your dogs bill" I said - welli did manage to pay for my dog didnt i. These kittens had to get out of there and i didnt know they had flu.
FFS im trying my best with these kittens and getting stick.
The RSPCA have been round to see her today but she wasnt in, they left a note on the door and hopefully she will sort something out, the inspecters going to give me a call in a bit so i can sort out someone forstering them until i get from seeing you and hopefully going to sort out vets bills if not i have no choice but to have him put to sleep. No charitys are willing to help me sort them out and i cant afford 300 quid
not good

Does he actually need the eye removed?

We still dont know what we are going to do. Poor little cat. There are too many people giving up thier pets at the moment as 'they cant afford them' so alot of spaces in shelters are all used up, so finding a shelter would prove hard.

Is the RSPCA no help at all? Or PDSA or cat protection?

hey, ive been on the phone all day to the rspca - the wont help.
they may help with funding but cant help with finding him a foster home.
he proberly will need the ye removed in the end but hopefully not yet.
There are so many people letting their pets down because of greed and they think they cant afford things - balls IMO
cats protection told me to rescue them and now wont help, rspca wont help, and im not covered by pdsa - dunno what to do

he is such a sweetie

Cats Protection will hopefully help and if you gave them some money (much as you could afford) as a donation to his care that would probably ensure his future. They will place him with an owner who keeps viral cats or in one of their shelters. You poor thing what an awful situation you are in so best of luck.

RSPCA would put the little mite down.
