Christmas cards....cardboard boxes...my arm/jumper...The only thing he hasn't chewed is the one thing I have given him - a damp tea towel after having been in the freezer a little while, read it can cool their gums. You'd have been so proud of him yesterday - climbed up onto the bookcase for the first time publicly!!

I gave him ice cubes last night - they both like playing with them and he's been eating his biscuit (thought he'd prefer the wet whilst sore but heyho). Just see how he gets on. Think hes been chewing for the last couple of weeks so it might (hopefully) just be the worst bit as they finally come through.

Re: Kitten teething/illness? WORRIED PLEASE HELP

Sam ate quite well last night but has been very sick this morning compared to previously. So luckily I am off work ill today so have got him a 12pm appointment at the vets. Will let you know how I get on. x

Re: Kitten teething/illness? WORRIED PLEASE HELP

Ok well we are now home and -£75 lol So I have wormer (spot on) for him and Dee just incase (I am a bad mum, had forgotten to do Sam's, was only 2 weeks over and had bought the paste but then he was ill so didn't want to overload him).

Then some kalogel (or something like that) to soothe his tummy and have been told just boiled chicken/fish for a few days.

Finally...we checked his teeth over the last few days and he seemed to be due to have adult teeth coming through. But today when the vet checked them...the little swine has managed to rip one of his front canine teeth out!!! It is swollen and sore looking which we think is what the new sickness and not eating is about. Only problem is the risk of infection and because it hasn't come out cleanly the root might have to be removed surgically. So antibiotics and need to see how it is looking in about 5 days/keep an eye on him.

Came home and cleaned the sofa...found the tooth!! It look like quite a chunk is still in his gum so wait and see what happens I guess. Trust Mark's cat to be the expensive one

Only question I have for you is do you think some skinless/boneless frozen pollock I have in the freeze would be ok for Sam? Haven't got any chicken but will go and buy some later.

I have no idea...it was on the sofa so marks worried its his fault (when sam chewed his jeans he moved blah blah)...can only think its from chewing the rope on the climbing frame and then he has spat it out on the sofa

Pollock is a type on fish...coley, cod and pollock are all pretty similar.

ah, no then i wouldn't hun, would just leave it til you grab some chicken x a few hours won't hurt him without a meal xx just stick to chicken and rice, fish can be fine but cos he's still young you're better off just feeding the chicken xx
