Poor Loki

Got up this morning to find Loki had hurt his front leg took him right to the vet who checked his front leg over (an x ray) as he is very lame on it and luckly he hasn't broken it, (there's no swelling to even think it anyway) but was worried cause of the lameness, the vet thinks may be just a twist or bruse but been told if it gets worse on am still worried to just take him back, so he's got painkillers,

Is there anything else i can do to help him cause rather the painkillers ain't working (yet) or he's realised he's getting extra love and is playing on it, he's asleep on his pillow under the heater (his fav place) for now but when he wakes up is there anything i can do to help him get better?

I feel sooo bad as its the first time he was allowed to sleep where he wanted than rather my bedroom
