Kitten Teething?

Hunter has been off his food today and hasn't really been interested in anything I have put down, he is really sleepy and doesn't even move when I go in the kitchen (Usually I cannot get in there alone!!). I have just found a tooth near where he was asleep and both fang teeth are missing. Does this usually make them a bit offish? I've never had cats (or kids) so no experience with teething at all! Will it last long?
Thank you

Re: Kitten Teething?

I don't particularly remember teething making mine off colour, other than giving them whiffy breath. Having said that I just Googled 'kitten teething' and found symptoms of being irritable and possibly off food with sore gums.

It's easy to overlook something and blame it on teething though, so if he doesn't pick up soon, I'd have him checked over to be on the safe side. Hope he's feeling better soon.

Re: Kitten Teething?

I would agree, can put them off food, and make them irritable, but not usually sleepy or even lethargic (as sounds more the case).

I would defo check it out after 24 hours if no improvment.

Is the kitten drinking? Youngsters can dehydrate quick so keep a close eye.
