why do you think he does that?

every since i have lived here in derbyshire for the last four and half years, jack my seal bi raggie would lick and chew raffles whiskas one side until he literally had none left. when i lost raffs last february, jack started doing the same to charley my seal mitted.
someone told me its what mother cats would do to their kittens to stop them straying. what do you think?

Wow, don't know but Jumpy seems to loose a lot of whiskers.....

Maybe Treacle wants to make sure he sticks around!

It is indeed a thing mother cats do to keep kittens from going too far away.
I have noticed Gaudi is missing some whiskers, too, but I don't know who is biting them off. I suspect Xena, but it might be Ricky, too....
They spend a lot of time sleeping in the same bed, so Ricky would have ample opportunity...

well you learn something new everyday!! i never knew that - wow! better keep an eye on Freddy and Tilly then- they're extremely close and love each other very much

well jack was the youngest of my raggies for some years until nellie my first wegie came along and since then he does get stressed so i was wondering if this is to do with this
