medical advice needed

We have a 19 year old feral cat living with us.
Normally wary of any contact she has taken refuge in an outhouse this winter and has allowed us to stroke and pick up.
She is 100%deaf and I think her eyesight is poor, but she has a warm bed, and a supply of food etc.
Lately she has become a bit wheezy, and today a chesty sneezy cough.
She is probably coming to the end of her life; I want to know if I can get any medication to give her to ease things.
She is very suspicious of new things in her meals.
Mostly she sleeps all day, and feels secure where she is living now.
Vets are out of the question, as being a feral cat she freaks out at any new human;
What medication can I get over the counter to give her some relief?

Re: medical advice needed

Wouldn't want to recommend anything myself, 19 is a good age for a cat (my last cat was pts at that age). OK the vets may be out of the question - but could you probably try talking to them and asking advise - Hard I know!!!! but if you explain the situation as well as you have here.
But - seriously - I guess I just really have to say maybe it could be a case of old age - keep her warm, fed and loved!!
regards
sue

thanks, yes I just realised my question could be interpeted another way.
we are quite fond of the ratty old mog, she came with the house.

It worried me a bit to hear her wheeze, she is a very savvy cat as regards to looking after herself.
I let her go on as she is. [ I had thought of half an asprin but 2 mins onhe net checking it out made my hair stand on end!!]
She is snug and safe.
