Adding a cat treat to food

Most of the time I don't have any problems with my 2 not eating their food. However, just now and again they will mess about, be a bit picky and not always eat their usual food straight away.

I was wondering if it might be an idea to mix a treat in with their food or put it on top of their food to get them to eat their meal.

I don't want to be doing it very often or to get into the situation where they will only eat a meal if there is a treat involved, but surely now and again is ok?

Does anyone say mix a Dreamie in with their food or place a NM treat in with the food or sprinkle Whisks treats on top?

As the slayer says, a tried and tested method for many to get their fussy furbabes to eat.

Re: Adding a cat treat to food

I actually put 2-3 bags of Thrive ( or PAH own brand) into a blender and keep in a jar specifically to sprinkle on food.
buffie and Kat1703 like this.

What are the Thrive treats like? Are they strips of dried chicken/fish?

They're small chunks of dried meat (I have the chicken ones) - they love them

Re: Adding a cat treat to food

Sadly, my kitties aren't big fans of the Thrive or Cosma treats. I wish they were! They love Katzinis (much less good for them!) like crazy though. One rattle of the box and they come running.
