Diarrhoea/worms?

Hi,
My 15 week old kitten has had a few "toilet issues" since we got him at xmas. I changed the food at the suggestion of the vet to royal canin sensitivity control and then to animonda carny.
On Saturday I wormed them both with panacur for the 3 days and Hunter had the most horrendous worms coming out, really long and stringy almost like chewing gum (sorry!) So i put all his issues down to this and planned to worm him again in to weeks with drontal just to make sure. He has since had a bit more diarrhoea and leaking so I didn't know if this was an after effect of the worms or if he does actually have a problem.
Today I have come home and he had some yellow jelly like thing coming out of his bottom so I wiped it but it seems to be seeping out.
He stole part of a cheese slice yesterday and also I gave them some almo nature food that I got free from zooplus. Do you think either of these could be the cause or if it's another trip to the vets?
Thanks for your advice

Re: Diarrhoea/worms?

Hi, my 12 week old kitten which I found in a ditch, had so many worms come out after I gave him Panacur for 3 days, it was awful, and he also was pooing sloppy bits of poo when he was walking, or leaking as you say. He had a very sore little bottom too. My vet said worm him with Panacur for 3 days, then leave it 2 weeks, then dose again for 3 days, then leave a further 2 weeks, and do it again for a final 3 days. He starts his 3rd and final 3 days tomorrow, but his poos are now solid, and normal, and his bottom has got better too. Worms really take it out of them. I'd say it was about a week after the first dose that he stopped pooing when he walked bless him. I'm sure your kitties will be fine after their they've got all the nasty worms out. Good luck with them!
