Cat flea treatment; spray or drops?

I sort of prefer the idea of a spray than concentrated in one spot.
What do people recommend and why, and which brands?

Thanks.

Re: Cat flea treatment; spray or drops?

The sprays are more dangerous to humans which is why when Frontline spot on was changed from POM-V to OTC the spray remained restricted. Not only would you be breathing in carcinogenic droplets but so would your cats. Nothing is completely safe and there are times when I believe it is important to consider the bigger picture. I particularly wouldn't even consider a spray if there are babies or small children in the household.

I use the Frontline Spot-on. I've tried advocate in the past too. It did it's job very well, but unfortunately it also seemed to sap all of rumbles energy and put him off his food for a few days... I've seen no such side effects with the frontline.

There are a couple of types of frontline - Frontline and Frontline combo. The Combo is only available from vets. I found this type caused localised hairloss at the site where it went on the neck, so went back to 'normal' Frontline.
