Are my cats eating enough?
I have two 5 month old kittens. I feed them a dry food and provide plenty of water. I feed them in the morning and in the evening, and follow the guideline amounts on the bag. They tend to go back and forth to the food bowl, but any time I walk past their feeding area they meow and pace like they want me to feed them, regardless of whether or not the bowl is full. They have never completely finished the food in the bowl and as a result I have estimated they are probably only getting about half of the recommended amount. How can I get them to eat without breaking the bank and buying expensive food?

Re: Are my cats eating enough?
My kittens really didn't like being on a dry diet - they would eat a bit as nothing else was available, but not much - they definitely weren't getting the daily feeding rec. They're now on wet and eat much more

Re: Are my cats eating enough?
We started them on dry food but over Xmas they came home with me and had wet food for a couple of weeks, I think I spoilt them! I've heard that wet food isn't good for them and that dry food is better for their teeth etc.? When I was growing up we had two very fussy cats that would only eat a particular brand of wet food. I really don't want my kittens to be so particular!
