Question good wet foods that are easily available ?

hi i wondered if anyone could recommend a good wet catfood as at the moment my cat is on a mixture of allsorts and changes his mind as to what he likes all the time i do know that he doesnt like the pate varieties and he will only eat dry food if i feed as a treat and the pet stores always point me in the direction of hills science etc , he does seem to prefer food in pouches rather than tins too

Re: good wet foods that are easily available ?

I need easily available good food for my cat too; ordering online is not possible as I work full-time. My cat Milly can be fussy at times so I keep her on a varied diet to stop her getting bored. She isn't a fan of pate-type foods either though she will eat them occassionally so gets Nature's Menu and Pets at Home Purely chicken pouches, which are considered reasonably good foods.

She's a big fan of gravy-based foods, of which I feed IAMS pouches (Milly gives these a at the moment), Just Nature pouches from Tesco and Adsa do Feline Fayre pots in gravy.

Fish flavours may be a good choice as they are not pate - Pets at Home Purely fish flavours either in pouches or tins, Hi-life fish pouches or Potty about fish pots all go down well. Encore from Sainsburys or Tesco is not a pate type food either and Milly loves these, though they are only complementary foods so shouldn't be fed all the time. Hope this helps!

Why does this stop you ordering online? I work full-time and can still order online :S

To be honest it's much easier than buying supermarket brands. I have deliveries sent to work so I never miss them and don't have to go and pick them up

OP: Check out THIS THREAD (feeding cats for beginners). It sort of depends what you want from the food. Is cost an issue? Do you want them to have the best quality wet food?

Search the forums too, you'll find there's a pool of about 5 products branded around which most people use (Animonda Carney, Smilla, Bozita, Grau and Applaws to anme a few). They are all good > very good quality wet food.

Same here, I work full time too.. Deliveries get left with my next door neighbour or taken to my local post office where I can collect on a Sat.

Make sure you choose the parcel force option though not the Yodel as they will take back to their depot.

Yep since finding these foods I have been having mine delivered to work as well. However it might be difficult if I didn't drive to work, I understand if Milly cat is on public transport carrying heavy packages might be difficult.

I have all the above in the cupboard, but she does seem to be a chunks in jelly sort of girl though

Re: good wet foods that are easily available ?

Animonda Carney comes in a Pâté kind of fashion.
Although the fish varieties are very wet and almost in gravy, but it's probably fish guts.

Careful though, the fish tins are complementary food according to the manufacturer.

I have them delivered to work and then cycle home with a bit at time stuffed in my panniers, gradually clearing the stash under my desk. People do keep asking what it is though...
