Re: Kitten Food Recommendation

I brought a can of Applaws wet yesterday and they gobbled it up for dinner last night but they won't be getting it often as its not a complete food which is a shame.

I brought a small 400g bag of Applaws dry and put them down some this afternoon and they both loved it. They don't seem to have upset tummys at the moment so fingers crossed. I also brought a small bag of Pets at Home Purely dry to try them on. I did look at Orijen but it is a bit more expensive than the others.

I think I will order some Bozita and Smilla from Zooplus and see how they get on.

Re: Kitten Food Recommendation

Does anyone know if Smilla Kitten Dry food is a complete food and if it contains grains?

Yes, it does hun; a number of them. Look, zooplus has the ingredient list: Smilla Kitten Dry Food at zooplus.

Any reason why are you looking specifically at this? Applaws is good as it is grain-free but the likes of Orijen and Acana are better imo (and since you would only feed a little the extra cost shouldn't perhaps be that much of a consideration as it would last you ages).

Re: Kitten Food Recommendation

I did have a look on there but wasn't quite sure what I was looking at to be honest. I saw the Smilla dry was a little bit cheaper than some others so thought it might be worth it but it isn't if it's got grains in it.

I think I will stick with Applaws or Orijen or Purely for the dry food if they like that one. I will try Smilla, bozita and Animonda Carny for the wet food.

Thanks everyone. It's all a bit confusing when you are new to the world of cats. They are such cute little bundles just want to make sure they eat right.

Got to take them to the vets on Thursday for their first set of jabs etc. hope it all goes ok
