Some input would be helpfull

Hey everyone!

Ok so as some of you guys know before I joined this forum Sheldon was on a all dry diet as I believed this was the best thing to do (how wrong was I!). Having found out this isn't the best thing for him I have made the change over to a 95% wet food diet for Sheldon.
I am now alternating him between Natures Menu and Hilife every other week
He has one packet of wet (100g) in the morning at 7am with half a hand full of some James Wellbeloved dry food mixed in and then he has one packet of wet (100g) at 6:30pm for his tea and then before we go to bed I put down half a handful of dry again as he likes to nibble through the night.
I know there is a lot of better foods out there that I could prob save a lot of money on however buying in bulk is just not an option for us (we are currently trying to save a deposit to buy our first home so we are down sizing to a very small home to save money and have no one with the spare room to store it either unfortunately)
Sheldon has had weight problems so I have been controlling his treat intake I like to use a couple of his dry food for him to chase round to get him running about and if I do treat him I tend to give him dreamies as they are only 2 calories a treat.

I was just wondering if some of you guys could give me your opinions on how I feed Sheldon and if you guys think I am doing the enough for him with this diet or is there anything I can do to make it better?
I really want whats best for Sheldon as he is my little boy and I love him more then anything in the world.

(A raw diet is something I will be looking into sometime next year once we have all our finances etc in order)

Thanks for any help and advice in advance

Given your situation I think you are doing really well.

i'm certainly no expert, but maybe filling him up with water - you could add just enough cat milk so he'll drink it, then maybe he won't take in as many calories, plus increased water won't be a bad thing

although i think you're doing a good job controlling his diet and encouraging him to play good luck x
