Given these symptoms and the back leg, weakness kidney problems sound very likely indeed. However, I'd also like to rule out diabetes as well. A full geriatric panel including a T4 for hyperthyroidism.

Good luck with the visit and keep us posted!

Re: My old cat I think is constipated

We have been to the vet this morning and she is constipated
He gave her an injection for cystitis as he thinks she has that too and some tabs till friday and took bloods and told me to give her some steamed chicken and a small amount of milk and the mashed pumpkin as that may help and wants to see her in a few days time again.
Thanks to all for your help.

Thanks I will,
I rushed my answer this morning as had to go out...so added what I forgot

She is much better tonight and restfull...vet said the cystitis was very painful for her and gave her a antibiotic and pain injection and clavaseptin tabs for the rest of the week...then back to vet friday.
He was not to worried about the constipation at this stage and didnt think she was over constipated and suggested a few things to help as did some PF members here
