My kitten would eat about 200g a food (Grau, macs etc) a day - and i was in awe of some of the eating feats of some of the kittens on this forum - but after being spayed at 6 months she has now turned into a 400g a day sort of girl. Has anyone else found this? Do you think it is down to spaying - or her age?

A month or so back, my pair did the same - we went from 1 tetra pack of Bozita a day (370g) between them - to about 2.5 tetras (925g). I just figured they'd hit a growth spurt.

I've just had my Kimi spayed (correctly this time) and her appetite has increased. She is constantly meowing for more and she tries to eat my tea as well (she got a bit of a shock when she tried to eat my curry when I wasn't looking!). She has never behaved like this before. The thing is she isn't a kitten as she is about 18 months old. I have read that the hormone change can increase appetite but I'm not sure as spring is here as well and she is getting all energetic!

Anybody have any thoughts to add?

My kitten was spayed at 5 1/2 months she's now 7 1/2 months and in the last 2 weeks she has been extra hungry and eating more. I've just put this down to a growth spurt as it didn't happen straight after being spayed but could be wrong i guess.
