New Kitten Dehydration
Hello, I got a mix breed kitten from a private seller, but she didn't want the brother and thrust both siblings upon me. It was a bit brash, and the owners obviously didn't want them.
When we brought them home, I realized that the female is very scrawny and appears very stray-like in demeanor.
They're really very young. Advertised at 5 months, but seem smaller. The male is larger and seems healthy.
The female, the first thing she did was go to the water bowl, and is constantly drinking the water. Her eyes don't appear to be sunken in, but I gave them some kitten wet-food, and she only ate half of her quarter can, and just went back to drinking water.
and drinking water.
and drinking water.
What can this be? If she is dehydrated, then what can I do to help? What should I avoid?
No, I won't take them back to the private seller. I paid $20 for the pair.
