Just take her to the vet for peace of mind either way. Is easy for us to give our opinion, however whether ringworm or not, maybe wise to get it checked out 'in the flesh' so cat can be treated by somebody who will know better than any of us here.

many years ago I had seven persians with ringworm [bought in a new show kitten who had it ]. Neither myself or my OH got it though. Hope it isn't ringworm as it is a pain to get rid of

Maybe phrased that bit wrong, it's highly contagious if you're not careful. If you have direct skin-skin contact with the infected area you're more likely to catch it. If the affected area touches furniture or something and then you touch the furniture you're more likely to get it.
