Not had direct experience of this but know that in large muscular cats creatinine (especially) and urea can be elevated. Birman's for this reason, do fall into this category-doesn't mean they have CRF though.

Joining the group is your best source then. I do rememer a few members some time ago with the same 'condition'. Of course you'd have to take the age of the cat as well, though I'm assuming your(s) are younger.
