McSquirtle is on a distinguished road
Re: 4 fangs

It sounds like he has his adult canines and his deciduous canines, keep an eye on it. Often if they haven't fallen out by themselves they might need pulling as it can affect the other teeth around them.

Re: 4 fangs

If i read this correctly are you saying both his fangs fell out due to teething but then 2 more have grown at each side? So in effect 4 new ones have come in just at the top?

yep which is why i found it so odd, his canines where the first to go, 1 fell out when i was in the vet with him, then the other the next day,and now theres 2 either side, the other boy has the same thing, but his baby teeth havent fell out

ill upload a pic, the new one that was coming through has almost doubled since last night, it seems as tho they will grow more

Re: 4 fangs

They do come through quick don't they, my kitten has 2 either side but that's only as 2 are baby teeth not quite ready to fall out.
It may just be a genetic abnormality. I'd suggest popping to the vet. It doesn't look inflamed or anything but knowing how quick teeth change and how well cats can hide pain I'd not want to leave it too long.
Let me know how you get on please, I'd just be interested to hear what the vet says

i actually bumped into my vet while i was shopping today, she recognised me, so i mentioned it to her and showed her the picture
she said she seen this a few times n most of the time it will correct itself and the abnormal 2 will fall out but also the same way humans can have teeth growing behind their main ones cats sometimes have weird variations, she said if they dont fall out in the next few months they will need extracting because they can cause a problem with his bite :/
