Question I don't know how old my kittens are...

My kitens came from our local RSPCA a week ago & although we don't know much about the history we know they were abandoned.

The first version we got was that they were 16 weeks at the beginning of December. We were told they were abandoned at 12 weeks.

When we went back to pick them up someone said they were about 6 months, we didn't pick up at the time that this didn't match & we wondered if we'd heard right!

I've looked at the paperwork & we've got a vaccination date of mid October & they were down as 2 months then. Which is kind of impossible if they weren't abandoned until 12 weeks!?

We also have a 4 week PetPlan certificate on which they are down as 7 months...

Confused.com

I weighed them this morning & Harry weighs 3.2kg, Jasper 2.6kg. Harry is on the chunky side with a bit of a belly & Jasper a bit skinny but no sticky out ribs. Neither look unhealthy & they're both active & playful. We suspect Harry might have been bullying Jasper where food is concerned & so we feed at opposite ends of the kitchen & this seems to be fine.

I'm sure they've both put on plenty of weight this week & I just want to be sure I'm feeding them right. They seem happy on 2 meals a day with a bit of dry & are getting through an average adult diet according to the tins.

They both like to suckle on their furry bed & on a blanket. Harry lost a baby tooth this week too.

Any ideas? And does it really matter? I suppose I'm just curious as well as wanting to make sure I'm feeding them the right amount.
