Re: Help

Just to note:

Bozita can only be obtained via the web. Try Pet Supplies, Pet Food, and Pet Products on Sale Now at zooplus.co.uk

Butchers Classic for Cats (they do dogs too) is another good food. It is relatively cheap and can be obtained at Sainsbury, Asda and Waitrose.

See this thread: Butchers Choice Cat Food

Re: Help

The link is usually stress hun, it'll more than likely be down to your girl calling - but to minimise it the high meat wet food is the best way to go x

would maybe try feliway plug in - if your girl cannot be spayed until titre is lower then she'll more than likely come into call again in a few weeks, so maybe just put it on in that time x

hope your boy feels better x

and hope your girls corona lowers itself soon also xx

Re: Help

Thanks all - I really appreciate it.

I' pretty much on the stress page so we're going with the high life food, new water fountain and a felway. A multi prong attack!

The little one needs her titres testing again soon - they were very very high last time so we don't hold out much hope.

Re: Help

Good luck with the diet change. Water fountain is also a good idea.

Most cats can clear coronavirus within 9 months or so, unless they get reinfected, which is unlikely in your case as you only have the 2 cats. I'd be quite confident that your girl's titre will be lower on the next test

Re: Help

Well update,

Changed everyone's food to highlife (sp?) and removed biscuits, got a water fountain, kept putting him into his litter when he looked like he was going to spray, cleaned heavily sprayed areas with biological cleaner and deoderiser, and (fingers crossed) we've had no signs of cystitis and no spraying for 2 days.

I do however have another question - Is there any good dried food which won't cause agravation to cystitis?

Thanks All

Re: Help

Great news - glad the diet change has helped.

I think to be on the safe side you shouldn't give any dried food, at least not for quite a while. All of them are low in moisture content and tend to make a cat slightly dehydrated.
