wet - partial success !

After trying loads of wet food including AC, bozita and smilla, we have had had a bit of success tonight, not the best but i nearly fell off the chair, i picked up whats possibly a crappy wet food foil - asda tiger select - the game flavour but it had some rice in it.

The most amazing part of it was lilly (who is 100% a dry food addict) went to the wet bowl, then went to the dried food, looked at it, had a wander back over to the crappy wet and ate it, whats more even suprising is that 10 minutes late she went back to it.

As said not the best but at least ive found a wet food that she will even attempt.to eat and also one that jet seemed interested in as well, so fingers crossed i know have something to work on/with - fingers crossed not jinxed it

Re: wet - partial success !

I have about £100 worth of decent stuff in the cupboard at the moment - still waiting to try the Macs and Granatapet - but the only thing I can guarantee they will eat is Hi Life

Any wet is better than no wet so a good start

Great start! Once they're used to wet you can start phasing in the good stuff

Its being hell on earth trying to get them to eat some wet food. We have a stray wandering through and hes looking in better condition than at the start of the winter. You just feel as though your banging your head against a wall. I only picked up two to try, the next one is a pouch one in a salmon flavour - should be a laugh as the majority of fish ones they've backed away from.

Hmmm hi life - will bear that on in mind as well.

It would be a darn site easier if the furbies werent so bloody fussy

Re: wet - partial success !

I am really worried about my girl not eating enough as I have switched to Bozita which she will eat a bit if and the Macs which I seem to be just throwing away as she just leaves it. I even try putting it down with some natures menu but then it all gets left. She is probably eating a third of her daily requirement.

Is there a "decent" but not best wet food I can try. I want us to grow old together but that needs a healthy diet.

Treaclesmum is on a distinguished road
Re: wet - partial success !

I will have to try that one with Treacle!! He used to like Asda Tiger when he was a younger kitten... before becoming a dry food addict...!!
