Fleas on a kitten to small to use flea treatments on

Alll the advice I have read about how to treat a little kitten for fleas is to bath and comb them. Does anyone know what shampoo/ soap is safe to use?

How young are they?

When I got Amber (7 Weeks) she had flea's and the vet used frontline spray.

i used baby shampoo and a nit comb im now infesrted

Thanks for th replies. In the end we put frontline drops on her as she is over 8 weeks and is only just under the 1kg they said a kitten must be. She is much happier today!
