Indoor cat with hairball
Hi,
im looking for some advice. I have 2 indoor cats, both girls aged 2 1/2 years. One of them, Daisy, is having trouble getting up hairballs. As they dont have access to the outdoors and the cats i have in my paretns house would just go outside, chew a bit of grass and then throw up the hairball, im not sure how to help Daisy. Any advice? |

Re: Indoor cat with hairball
Well, different options.
You can either get some from zooplus and other online shops (also amazon). These tend to come with the seeds, growing medium and container, so you just add the grains to the soil, water and a week later you have grass. Or you pop into pets at home where you can buy there kittygrass. Alternatively, go to a garden centre and get some cat grass, some organic vegetable compost and a shallow container and make it up all yourself. If you find that your cats are crass munchers (one of my cats is a bone fida cow), you can get a big bag of oat grass seeds or barley, wheat seeds for loads less money than those little sachets that garden centres sell. |

Re: Indoor cat with hairball
The vet gave me some malt paste which was hugely helpful. Didnt cost too much. I now give them malt crunchies (cant remember the name, they are in a dark blue packet) from zooplus. Havent had too many problems since and any fur seems to be in their poo! Sorry if tmi!
