HELP! Male neutered cat, clear fluid leaking from nipples

Coco
male
neutered @ 6 months
2 years next month
Slightly over weight - trying to resolve

Noticed yesterday clear fluid leaking from one nipple, he has licked the area red raw and still wont stop licking.

Will book in with vets as soon as they open monday morning.

Vets always seem to have different opinions and if anyone has experienced this before PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know what the outcome was!!!!! I want to get to the bottom of this ASAP as someone on Yahoo answers said their male cat had mammary cancer, if this is a popular outcome I will get the tests started without messing around, regardless of what the (I will milk you for every penny before telling you the truth) vets say.

HEEEELLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

Re: HELP! Male neutered cat, clear fluid leaking from nipples

Mammary cancer at this age is very unlikely in my opinion. The contant licking is far more suggestive of infection. Until the vet appointment I would try to discourage this as it can exascerbate the situation.
