Oska my elderly persian seems to struggling a bit at moment with his mobility. Took him to vets this week and vet says he has arthritis. Now Oska takes steroids for his sensitive tum so cannot have metacam, which quite often is prescribed. Vet has given him vetergesic [another pain killer] for a week to see if that makes any difference to him. As yet I'm not convinced that it does. Vet says that is all that he can offer Oska to help. He has flectabed q beds which he loves as they reflect heat. Has any one got any suggestions as to what may help the old boy????

So no one has experience of using supplements for arthritis???? Or infra red beds??????

I bought a Bioflow magnetic collar for Nellie which seemed to help and also used a supplement of Vitamin C as ascorbic acid which again helped. She also loved her Flectabed.
She could not tolerate Green Lipped Mussel, but we did use Glucosamine ( Cortaflex)
