bombayboy is on a distinguished road
Exclamation Equivalent to Royal Canin Vet. Diet Urinary S/O?

Our 6yr old Bombay Boy has just got home from 'hospital' after suffering a urinary tract blockage - he ended up with a catheter but luckily seems to be urinating normally today and has a check up with our own vet tomorrow morning (as it was weekend AND New Year he ended up in local OOH vet hospital).

Anyway, he is on medication which will continue until otherwise informed - he has also been given Royal Canin Urinary S/O wet food pouches - which is the first 'wet' food he's had, as he's always had dry food.

As we have two cats to feed (we also have a Brown Burmese who is our Bombay's litter brother) it seems very expensive to carry on with the royal canin forever... one of the vets told us to look for something "with similar ingredients" but we're pretty unsure what we should be looking for.

So... does anyone know if there is something similar but less expensive? Or should we be looking at supplements?

Thanks all, look forward to having a nosey round your lovely forum
