First aid kit essentials

What are the essential items for a kitty first aid kit?

Cotton wool
Cotton buds
Scissors
Pro-Kolin (or similar)
Saline solution
Bandages
Pads
Antiseptic
Vaseline

What else?
Also - what is the best antiseptic? I just want something for little (no vet required) things

Re: First aid kit essentials

If it's just for clean minor cuts etc then I use a dilute hibiscrub solution as recommended by our vet, can also be used neat to sterilise and clean items.

Styptic powder / pencil can come in useful, I would also keep to hand piriton and hydrogen peroxide for emergency use (only if directed by a vet).

Re: First aid kit essentials

Definitely second the hibiscrub.

For more ideas use the search function, which should throw up a few threads on that matter (sorry, didn't have time to do that myself and post the links here).

I can't access the search function from my phone, I tried that earlier. Thanks for the hibiscrub tip
