Burns dry cat food....

Anyone tried this?? Is it any good??! I am at the moment feeding Royal Canin dry food (They get wet as well but not enough to keep them healthy and Im amazed I have managed to get Chewitts to eat some wet at all!!)

I am looking for a better quality of dry food for them (and hope Chewitts stays well!) I know their dog food is good but this doesnt necessarily mean that the cat food is any good?!

Re: Burns dry cat food....

Complete rubbish imo

Ingredients: Brown Rice (min 46%), Chicken Meal (min 36%), Maize, Chicken Oil, Chicken Livers, Seaweed, Minerals & Vitamins

Do your cats a favour and check out grain-free dry food, if you have to feed dry food at all. Orijen is a good one as is acana.

Thanks hobbs I was looking into grain-free as well but just came across this one and thought I would ask about it.

Re: Burns dry cat food....

My cats have been on it several months now, and they are the healthiest looking they have ever been!!! The fish one is also really appealing to them as it has such a strong smell.

Re: Burns dry cat food....

Personally wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. Firstly, because it is dry food but also because cats are carnivores and such a huge amount of grains (don't forget it also includes an undisclosed amount of maize) has NO place in cat food imo.

It is just unfortunate that manufacturers such as Burns, who are known in the dog world as producing good dog food (rightly or wrongly), just don't know better and treat cats as small dogs, which they most certainly are NOT.
