Reducing food... or not?
I'm currently feeding Dinah and Monty (9 months old) 300g of wet food each per day, in three separate meals of 100g each. They have been eating this quantity of food since they were 3.5 months old and it seems to be the right amount for them at the minute.
They tend to eat most of the food in one sitting, then go back for the rest within the hour, which I think proves that they're getting enough. They eat MACs, Animonda Carny, Grau and Smilla... although they've gone on a protest and have recently started refusing the Smilla.
Obviously they are now getting bigger and I was wondering if and when to start reducing the food? Do you do it at 12 months old exactly, or is it a gradual thing? I haven't noticed any decrease in their appetites.
Also, would you recommend simply going from 3 meals to 2 meals (and maybe spacing them apart more evenly, e.g. changing to 7am and 7pm) or continuing to feed 3 meals daily but with less food at each "sitting"?
