beef kidney

picked up a bit of this at the butchers today looked like a good treat. What do I do with it can I feed raw or do I need to cook and if so what's best?

Re: beef kidney

You can feed it raw, but limit it.

Re: beef kidney

My gang turned their noses up at kidney the first few times I tried it (raw ). Now I sautee it lightly so it is still mainly raw and they love it. It is quite rich though so watch out for runny bums if they eat too much of it.

Re: beef kidney

so over the xmas period they have eaten raw turkey mince - Bobs yay but boo turned his little cat nose up at it and only ate a little, beef kidney they both went mental for - very lightly cooked. they both ate very lightly cooked beef mince tried that before raw and they wouldnt eat it but they liked it cooked slightly but still very bloody.

I'm sure Boo wouldn't get on with a raw diet but a raw or lightly cooked meal looks like an option. I can feed that as often as once a week can't I? is it bad to feed kidney too often what about other offal? and can i try sea food like prawns? Are there any concerns with cholesterol?
