two new cats

jess who is a ginger and white bsh possibly two years old, a bit of a night owl but adjusting well after hiding for two days under the kitchen units and

lily, a bit younger at possibly one, burmilla girl who just hit heat on thursday and has been spayed on friday, shes eating ok and had some wet food and some biscuits and water yesterday and today, shes just licked me too

we dont know their real ages or their past history at all

shes resting under the stairs and still looks very sore but is not weeping, the wound looks dry, she has a collar on which will stay on for another few days at least, im feeding her with a table spoon but shes able to eat the biscuits and drink water by herself

he keeps hissing at her so were keeping them apart as best we can, ive read up about how he may be doing this as she doesnt smell like lily and smells like other cats or the vet surgery and he probably doesnt like the collar either, hes acting a litle scared of her also

its all very stressful and im still not sure how i feel about them both after losing bracken

i feel like we rushed into replacing him and although jess and lily have come on in leaps and bounds since they first arrived three weeks ago, its hard work
