Am feeding the RC Gastro Food for the next few days then hopefully back on their usual stuff.

How's your boy now? Can be worrying when they don't seem themselves and off their food to that extent. Is hard to know what is up and no way of telling anything internal until tests are carried out.

Did your vet say to bring him back in if he's not eaten within 24 hours, is he drinking.

Hope it's okay for me to ask in this way. At least you're not alone in this in that there's peeps rooting here for you and your boy, hopefully this viral infection will pass quickly as your boy makes a perky recovery.

I love his bed, did you make it?
I am so glad your little one is feeling better.
I agree it is a worry when they are not well. If only they could talk!
Harley has improved a little today. He has had some fish and a drink. He went in the garden for 5 minutes this morning to get some fresh air. He is now asleep in the chair.
I was told by the vet to go back on Monday if he had not eaten or there was no improvement.
The pic at the bottom of my page is Chloe in the bed. I bought this bed for a old cat that we had because it has deep sides and is warm and cosy. Sadly he died before he got to sleep in it.
I have attached a couple of pics of Harley.
Would like to see a pic of your littel one

I suppose the ABX were just to rule out any secondary bacterial infection as the vet seemed to think it was viral in origin? They very often include a light steroid to reduce inflammation and boost appetite, do you know if this was given?
I am sure you are offering him lots of tempting foods, how about some full fat probiotic yoghurt? Good protein and also will give him some fluids.
Thanks paddypaws.
He has eaten some fish and has had a drink. He is a little improved and is now sleeping.
The vet gave him 80mg convenia and 2mg of Dexadreson.
You are so right. We have tryed to tempt him with alsorts but at least he has had something today.
I am a bit unsure about the probiotic yoghurt at the moment because he has had the runs so don't want to make it worse.
Maybe try him on some tomorrow.

Thank you, am keeping a close eye on him and the two older ones, hoping the girl won't get it since she's pretty much made of steel, however vey said likelihood it could happen

Harley seems to be showing signs in the right direction towards recovery, lets see what before Monday might bring, still time for him to bounce back.

Sounds like your vet is on the case too.

The pictures of your fur babies are beautiful, they look regal. If you go to my page, there is an album there with some photos of ours including the little one - he has an 'elizabethian collar' ruff on him.

Re: Harley's been to the vets.

Glad he has eaten a little. If you are not sure about the yoghurt how about making him some chicken broth....boiling up a couple of chicken legs or a carcass, remove the meat then boil bones for longer to get the broth. It is more tempting than plain water and will help improve his electrolyte balance if he has had the runs.

I will go to the shops tomorrow and get him some chicken legs and do that.
