Re: Expanding Eric's Menu

Smilla fish pots were a great success with my last cat. I've just ordered some to try my kitten on as I'm currently moving him over from Whiskas to Smilla anyway. I've also just ordered the Animonda Carny too as it's another good food.
I've found that with it being a denser pate style that cats prefer it with a very small amount of warm water added to it. Seems to make it easier to eat.

Re: Expanding Eric's Menu

i've not tried the boys smilia but i can vouch for the Animonda in all varieties, clean bowls everytime. Mine used to be on Purely but they got bored of the two flavours, they practically jumped for joy when i gave them AC. It's quite smooth with some chunks in & the fish flavours smell a bit like tinned sardines i think. I hope he likes them it will do him the world of good

Re: Expanding Eric's Menu

He just loves fish flavoured food! Won't took any other meats at all. I'm hoping he likes a few of the ones I've ordered as they're better for him. He used to have Applaws but I was finding that quite expensive and it's complimentary food. He's still having his Applaws dry though.

Re: Expanding Eric's Menu

My three are the total opposite and won't touch anything fish flavoured, they just leave it! Not sure if that's all they got at the rescue place, but it's meat, meat, meat in our house. They also love the Applaws dry. I tried to give them some Orijen and they didn't seem very impressed, so I'm sneaking a little bit in everday and hoping they don't notice. I'm feeding them Bozita at the moment, but might order some Animonda too as reports seem good on here.

Re: Expanding Eric's Menu

My boys are fussy buggers.

They did seem to like Animonda carny (only tried some of the meat ones though, none of the fish) then they went off them.

Smilla meat was ok for a while, though now they will only eat it under sufference (never empty bowls). They will happily eat any of the fish Smilla though. Mixing with a little water helps here too.

Their current favourite is the fishy varieties of Bozita chunks in jelly, although its not as good as the pate (they completely stopped eating the tins or pate pouches )
