Thumbs up Misi home from the vet

My poor darling girl has been having trouble with her mouth and has stopped eating. Although her stomatitis per se isn't so bad at the moment, she had several fleshy swellings in her mouth that got caught between her teeth and hurt her. We decided they had to be removed, even though she'll be 19 next month. Some might also remember that she nearly died in September when she had a renal crash.
The vet thought she was well enough to endure a light anaesthetic and said she'd do a quick teeth clean while she was whipping out the swellings. I waited in the waiting room through all this. Forty minutes later, I was called back in to a groggy Misi. She'd been a model patient. Breathing and heart rate really good, and had come through with flying colours. Here she is before the op with a nasty sore bit in her mouth and recovering afterwards at home on a hot water bottle and fleece. Because she's such a cherished patient and the vet said she'd been so brave, we got all this done for €60 which we haven't paid yet, and can pay when we're ready. This is the absolute BEST thing I have to say about living in Italy. Our vet is an absolute doll. Misi is a doll, too

Re: Misi home from the vet

Ah! Sorry to hear poor Misi had to go through this but really glad to hear all went well with the operation! What a brave little girl she is, at nineteen!

Here's to a very speedy recovery and hope she feels much better soon!
