Cat Hairballs and Its Remedy

A really good article which I spotted on facebook.

This is one of my favourite sites for impartial and sensible advice on pet nutrition apart from ---- The Many Myths of Raw Feeding

This article on Cats and hairballs particularly caught my eye as I transitioned our old rescue cat on to raw a while back because of diet and soiling problems. No more hairballs was a bonus ! as that, on reflection, was a major problem for Phoebe our beautiful old cat. x

Kitties swallow a considerable amount of their own hair when they groom themselves.A cat's digestive system is designed to handle a certain amount of fur, her own and from prey in the wild. But lots of kitties wind up with hairballs due to hair length, shedding patterns, dietary deficiencies, digestive challenges -- or a combination of issues.
