Re: out of date prawns

Are you talking frozen prawns or fresh?

I'd feed the frozen but not the fresh if it was me.

Re: out of date prawns

what do they smell like? If they smell okay they probably will be a) cats have better ability to deal with stuff like that - I've see mine chow down on some horrid manky mice at times and b) the use by/ sell by dates are very often too soon or just a guideline.

Re: out of date prawns

If they are good enough for you, they are good enough for the cats, if they are not,I would personally not risk giving it to my cats.

Cats can get sick just like us. They are hunters, not scavengers, so their stomach isn't made for flesh that has gone off.
Most cats will refuse food if it really has gone off, but not all. Some will eat anything and everything unless it smells really foul.

Re: out of date prawns

I agree with the above. Smell it and if it's good enough for people then it'll be fine for kitty, I think. I wouldn't otherwise.
